GST-fusion Protein Purification
[Robot operating procedures]

1. Insert protocol card

Make sure the Magtration® 12GC is turned off and then follow the instructions in the 12GC manual to properly insert the Magtration-GSTTM IC protocol card if it is not already in the IC card slot.

Turn on the 12GC. When the Top Menu appears, press START on the keypad and the following screen will appear:










2. Select Protocol Press
1) on the keypad to begin a Protein Purification Protocol
and this screen will appear:









3. Select Sample Size
The user then selects the protocol size. Remember, the final volume placed in the sample tube is:

0.6 ml if 1-4 ml protocol
1.2 ml if 5-20 ml protocol

Once a selection is made a confirmation screen will appear:









After pressing START the protocol will begin.

4. Remove sample
The protocol will finish in 50 min and a tone will sound when the protocol ends.		 The user can now open the 12GC door and remove the purified GST-fusion protein.

The purified protein is in the elution tube of Row #1 of the tip/tube rack.
