The development of a novel system to provide simple system
and rapid multiplex detection is presented. The system named BIST(Bead
array In Single Tip). BIST incorporates beads (maximum 50pcs, 1mm)
aligned in a capillary tip offering ease of use and the option to
perform the system manually
or automated. There are two kinds of beads incorporated into BIST.
One for capture and signal detection
with the other functioning as a quencher. This feature of BIST allows for
luminescent detection on all non
quencher beads with results incorporating both the beads position and intensity, captured by a unique
signal detection reader called the BISTnner.
We show here that novel BIST 1 system offers unique capabilities
for multiplex analysis in Diagnostic applications.
